Super CDW, Super TP and LDW Insurances

Main Content

Super CDW Coverage

This insurance completely removes the excess amount you would generally be required to pay if the rental vehicle is damaged (excluding administrative fees charged directly by the car provider). Be aware that similar coverage might occasionally be provided by insurance companies or third-party entities. Therefore, if your voucher specifies that it includes Super CDW insurance, make sure not to purchase duplicate coverage. You will not get a refund for overlapping insurance policies.

Super TP Insurance

This insurance fully eliminates the excess in the case of theft of the rental vehicle (not including administrative fees charged directly by the car provider). Remember that similar coverage may sometimes be offered by insurance companies or third parties. Thus, if your voucher denotes that it includes Super TP insurance, ensure that you do not obtain similar coverage. You will not be reimbursed for duplicate insurance policies.

Loss Damage Waiver

This form of insurance is commonly used in the USA and combines both of the insurances mentioned above.

It is emphasized that none of the insurance policies outlined in the car voucher cover damages to: the lower chassis (as defined by the car supplier), clutch, upholstery, window glass, tire damage or repairs for flat tires, and any related indirect or incidental costs, towing of the vehicle, key replacement, or damage to the contents of the vehicle or the passengers.

These policies also exclude coverage for damages that occur as a result of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, reckless driving (according to the definition given by the car supplier), driving on unpaved roads, force majeure events, leaving the car keys unattended, and cleaning fees if the vehicle is returned excessively dirty as described above. Please be informed that, per European regulations, carrying a spare tire in the vehicle is not mandatory; rather, a temporary repair kit is permitted until a tire replacement occurs.

When signing the Car Rental Agreement, the Car Supplier may offer additional insurance options, some of which may already be included in the Voucher. It is your responsibility to check if such insurance options are part of the Voucher. Be aware that if you choose to purchase additional insurance options under the Car Rental Agreement, you will be entirely accountable for the costs associated with such options and will not qualify for any reimbursement from Ofran regarding the acquisition of these additional options, even if they provide similar or overlapping coverage to that in the Voucher.

The car rental agreement does not include medical insurance and/or coverage for bodily injury or property damage for the driver, any additional driver, and/or passengers in the rental vehicle, including injuries that may occur from road accidents while operating the leased vehicle. Therefore, you should independently arrange for such insurance coverage (commonly referred to as PAI) in line with the relevant insurance coverage requirements.

We hope you have a secure and enjoyable journey.
